Experience Interactive Learning On Your Televisions
24x7guru.com and Tata Sky tie up to offer interactive learning programmes on the latter’s DTH platform.

24X7guru.com, a provider of online diagnostic and self-assessment tool and a Learnsmart India company, and Tata Sky Ltd, the JV between the TATA Group and STAR, have teamed up to offer interactive learning on television. This partnership will enable 24x7guru.com to provide content for Tata Sky’s Actve Learning -- a quiz-based educational service covering Maths, GK and science for children in the age group of 7-11 years

“We believe that the purpose of television, besides providing entertainment, must be to also impart knowledge and enhance the learning skills in children, especially as television viewing consumes a large part of their leisure time. It’s been our constant endeavour to provide value added services to our subscribers in the field of education, and our partnership with 24X7guru.com will only strengthen our existing offering,” said Vikram Mehra, chief marketing officer, Tata Sky Ltd.

K.S Muralidhar, CEO, Learnsmart India, said, “Television can be an extremely powerful teaching tool with the potential of enhancing every aspect of the academic curriculum. We are confident that this new medium which is hugely popular with children of all ages will motivate the students to use broadcast technology not just to entertain them but also to complement their efforts to become scholastically successful.”

“Our aim is to let parents think of the 'Television as an Educator' besides being a powerful entertainer for their family and especially their child,” Sanjeev Gupta, director, Learnsmart India. “We hope to turn television as an exciting new tool for school students that they can use for self-assessment, by providing our highly interactive classroom content that is active, critical and absorbing as they watch the television, without parents getting worried about their child loosing productive study time.”
